Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI), the camp and meeting place of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) in the Midwest, has been serving tens of thousands of adults and children since 1952.
In partnership with Reform congregations and families, OSRUI awakens, heightens and intensifies Jewish identity by creating and nurturing a vibrant Jewish living environment through summer camp and year-round programs. We cultivate the next generation of Jewish leadership by weaving the values of learning and teaching, community and personal growth, Israel, friendship, recreation, fun and t'fillah - all in the spirit of Torah.
The OSRUI Board of Governors is comprised of engaged lay leaders who support the greater good of OSRUI. Members leverage their personal and professional expertise, provide advice and feedback, and generate resources to enhance the impact of Camp.
“Jewish camping creates an atmosphere of living Jewishly 24/7. It is a total commitment to living a Jewish life and is our best guarantee to Jewish continuity. It is also a fun and positive experience. OSRUI does the best of both.”
